Congratulations to Head Coach Laura Baines (now Laura Hogg)
Laura and Ste were married on 7th August 2010
Many St Helens RGC  gymnasts and coaches from both past and present joined the celebrations

On Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th May, 6 gymnasts competed in the National Grades Finals at Altrincham, Manchester. The Saturday competition was a long day, with over 80 gymnasts competing. All the girls competed on the Saturday, with the 3 juniors coming back to compete 2 more pieces on the Sunday morning. The day started off really well with Heather,Niamh and Sophie performing first. They each performed 3 routines, (Rope, Ball and Free) which were clean and neat. The competition was strong with 20 gymnasts in the under 11 section, Sophie performed a lovely ball and was placed in 6th position and also was placed in 6th position overall.

The afternoon was the turn of the 3 juniors, Sam and Louise were in the under 13 section and Rachel was competing as a junior. This is Rachel's first year as a junior with gymnasts competing 2 years her senior. All the girls performed well, the junior section has really grown over the last year with over 30 gymnasts in the two sections.
Samanta at present competes as a guest at National competitions and she finished in 3rd place in the ball section.
The results can be seen on the British Gymnastic Website. (www.BAGA.co.uk)

The weekend was a great event and the girls are really improving in their performance. We now need to work on their D2 (apparatus risk) to increase their level. Well done to everyone and Thank you for your support.
